The New Pharisees

The new Pharisees is a book on our modern day churches and the leaders in charge of the church of God. Religion is fast becoming a tragedy of association without a personal relationship with God. To the disciples Jesus said "Behold, I am sending you out as sheep in the midst of wolves, so be wise as serpents and innocent as doves." Many believers have fallen victims to the church and are todays Daniels in the lions' den. Unfortunately, the earthly king that could rescue them has gone missing.

To every generation at a certain point God sends a messenger, a prophet or a messiah to a people or a group. The problem with this generation is that we have too many men of god(s) that were neither called nor sent by God. Many that are called didn't wait to be sent. Those that are called and sent are choked by money, greed, pride, fame and cares of this world; like the sower's seeds that fell among thorns. Jesus said that they grew but were soon choked by thorns and never lived to bear fruit. So it is with the present day Pharisees, they push God's message aside and aspire to be worshiped and honored in the place of the very God they claim to represent. In place of the "old time" religion, they introduce new politically correct and money motivated worship that kept their captives in chain.

It's no longer enough to be a pastor; you must own two or three private jets. The "men of God's" driveway must be decked with one or two Rose Royce and a Lamborghini while church member wallow in abject poverty. A preacher is not regarded as a messenger of God sent to His people until he has built a mega church at the expense of the widows, the fatherless, the orphans and the penniless. I am not begrudging the gift and the blessings of God in any man's life if only they have not enslave the same people they are supposedly sent to set free from earthly bondage.
