The Night I Met Jocasta

Birthday parties for casual acquaintances can at times be boring, while at other times deadly boring. And so it went for Jocasta Fox and Caleb Andros, thrown together by a gruesome murder discovery and soon bonded by Jo's working relationship with Caleb's late partner Danny. Shortly after spoiling her party dress by falling over a corpse, it becomes apparent that the murderer who suspects they know more than they are telling and intends to silence them.

Things become more complicated by Jo's old acquaintance at the party, Lizzy Strong. Lizzy is a gossipy, bisexual, drunk who has made it clear in the past she has her eye set on Jo, who unfortunately for Lizzy, doesn't return the favor.

After Caleb survives an attack, Lizzy and her husband Earl invite Caleb and Jo over to their palatial Scottsdale, Arizona home to share information, and hopefully shed some light on what's going on to stop the killer.

Arriving at the Strong's home, reluctant Jo and Caleb are soon shocked to encounter that discussing murder wasn't the only thing on the Strong's mind. Horny Earl makes it very clear he has set his sights on Caleb, as he give a tour of their house of unexpected debauchery, including sexually explicit statues of the owners.

Barely escaping their lascivious clutches, they return home where yet another attempt is made, followed by the discovery of another murder.

Realizing now that time is short and their identity may soon be revealed; the killer becomes careless and steps up the attacks on the small group. The killer now recognizes they are closing in and now has nothing to lose.

When suddenly the attacks cease and the senseless terror begins to fade, Jo and Caleb soon find out the killer has only been biding their time to finish their plan. With only moments to spare, can they outwit the killer and save Jo's now endangered life?
