Richard "Dinky" Deankey invites you to witness the offbeat, coming-of-age nightmare that is his life. Imagine: his mother is a bad cook who charges him handsomely for the service. His father played semi-pro football, though he seems to forget his son is on the same team now. Dinky's little sister hates him, and has the mad-scientist skill set to make that hatred hurt. His best friend is an enigma, that friend's mutant dog thinks Dinky's buttocks are chewable, and his friend's mother is... odd.
Yet, despite it all, Dinky strives to be your Average Joe. He just tends to forget that to everybody else, he is The Other Guy.
