In life, a single event can throw everything you've worked for off track and leave you with nothing.
My story? I grew up on a small farm, attended college, moved to New York for a better life. Working in insurance claims for over 20 years, I climbed the ranks to a claims management position and finally landed my dream job as supervising case manager for a structured settlement company. My office was located on the
100th floor of the South Tower of the World Trade Center in Manhattan. The position started in August of 2001. But one month later, on September 11th, everything changed. The Other Side of Nothing is my survival story. It's the story of being at my desk when the first plane hit the North Tower. It's the story of being in the stairwell, on the 75th floor, just below the impact as the second plane struck the South Tower. But most importantly, this is the story of the journey of the healing that came after.
