The Paranormal World: The Biblical Response to the Supernatural

The majority of Christians, even those who are intelligent and well meaning, reject the supernatural phenomenon as being for "crazy folks". They believe and openly state that people who believe in things of the sort are foolish, hallucinogenic, out of touch with reality, or simply insane. This is a tragic mistake that causes Christians to be frowned upon increasingly by the modern world. Why? And what is the proper Christian response to the paranormal side of our existence?

Another question for pastors and church attendees to consider is this: are you really prepared to deal with a member of your church who you know to be honest and sober - coming to you reporting that she has seen "dead people"? Or that her house is haunted? Or that she has been abducted by UFOs? Or that a psychic approached her and informed her of events that no one else could have possibly known?
