Living with or having a husband who is addicted to a substance in your life can make life seem impossible.

Every day you are walking on eggshells. Life may be stressful, uncertain, or just plain bad. One thing is certain. It is never easy living with a person who is addicted to a substance in your life. Life can be challenging without having someone with a substance abuse problem in your life, but with an addict, life can be unbearable. You never know which face the person will show or how the person will react in any circumstance. You never know if you can depend upon this person or if you will have to pick up the slack.

Everyone needs to feel loved and sometimes the person that you thought was the love of your life turns out to be your worst nightmare, literally. This dependence upon any substance of addiction turns your every interaction with this person into a struggle. This constant push and pull is one that is very frustrating and you feel as though it is a battle that you cannot win. You may scream for hours, trying to get your husband to the point of changing or desisting from their hook-on substance, but the voices inside the addict's head which tell them to go on with the substance of addiction never stop. You can try, but you will tire long before the desire for the substance of addiction does.

Individuals of every race, gender, and class face the demons of addiction every day.

But what is the solution to delivering your husband from whatever substance he is hooked on? The answer is prayer. You must understand that every addiction is spiritual and requires an external force ... a supernatural power to break in and break the victim out of addiction. Waiting on your husband to quit is a waste of time, because he can't due to the overpowering influence, power and manipulation of the demonic force of darkness that has held him under the power of the substance of abuse. Going for therapy and AA meetings are secondary solutions because without proper spiritual solutions in place, the person could easily and in most cases, they do relapse. What is required first is an external force that is so powerful to drive the demons out of the life of your husband. Once this is achieved via prayer, your husband would be open for change and also commit to the required change.
