The Psalter of Our Lord is a simple silent and contemplative prayer that is a synthesis of two Christian prayer traditions, namely the Jesus Prayer which originates from the Eastern Christian tradition, and the Rosary Prayer which originates from the Western Christian tradition. The harmonious blending of elements originating from these two prayer traditions not only results in a completely different new prayer but also results in a prayer that can be practiced by all Christians, regardless of class. Thus this prayer has a distinctive character, namely, it can be a means to build a spirit of Christian unity.
This prayer takes the name 'Psalter' because it consists of 150 repetitions of the classic Jesus Prayer according to the number of Psalms of David. The use of the name 'Psalter' is meant to show the character of this prayer as a spiritual weapon. Like the stone-slinger that David used to defeat Goliath, the Psalter of Our Lord or Psalter of Jesus can also be a spiritual weapon for all Christians in their spiritual war against the dark forces and their followers.
