Jack Bradford, a New York City detective, is assigned to find the killer of Stephanie Parker, an actress. Zachary Withers, a director; Jason Hurley, an actor; Jessica Martin, an agent; and Thad Tillerson, a photographer are his prime suspects. While he is in her apartment looking for clues, in Stephanie walks giving him the shock of his life. With the help of forensics he learns that the murder victim is Laurie Cutler, a friend of the actress. Because she stopped by the apartment while Stephanie was out, he assumes she was killed by mistake. In a bizarre twist the killer is not one of the prime suspects and strikes again with deadly consequences.
