From General Brian Peddle's Foreword: 'This book is a statistical and programmatic representation of The Salvation Army. These dimensions are of little value if they are not saturated with the pervading presence of a holy God. It is my hope that in every expression, programme and place there is evidence of a spiritual footprint, a spiritual imprint.'

The book contains reports and photographs from each of the Salvation Army's 61 territories, commands and regions (representing the 131 countries in which the Army currently ministers), along with feature articles on General Brian Peddle's 'Call to Mission', gender equity (Eva Kleman), the reimagining of Women's Ministries (Rosalie Peddle), the humanitarian crisis on the USA/Mexico border (Allen Satterlee), and soul-saving snapshots covering projects and programmes in Rwanda and Taiwan.
