The Seaside Sybil is an American fortune teller written in the 1880s. This booklet contains slips of paper that have been marked from 1 to 100 and conferred to give a very vague fortune of the future. It is mainly concerned with relationships and marriage. These 'leaves of destiny' follow directly in the wave of the prophecy tradition of fortune-telling, which comprises both simplified and complicated systems. This particular leaflet also includes a mixture of illustrations, jokes, and cartoons.
