Transferring in your senior year of high school is traumatic. Layla Kane learns this the hard way when her mother drags her to Forrest Edge from Chicago. Thrust into a new world she didn't want, Layla must now learn to navigate a new social hierarchy. Especially, when she finds her heart torn between two of the school's most elusive boys.

Aiden Blair seems to have it all. He is captain of the basketball team, Prom King, and has the perfect girlfriend. Sadly, he doesn't have a perfect personality. Vincent Keely on the other hand is the school's loner. Keeping to himself he has a mysterious aura that seems to draw Layla in.

However, not everything is as simple as it seems in Forrest Edge. A dark secret from the past hangs over the town with a quiet hush. Will Layla be able to make a choice between Aiden and Vincent? Or will she succumb to the darkness lurking in the trees?
