Once, in the time of the empire of the Relian sea lords, Ardassa had been a world city. Now its crumbling walls smelled of mustiness and an aura of decay had taken hold of the place. Ardassa sheltered the riffraff of the entire hemisphere. Pirates and outcasts met here, misfits, prophets of twisted cults, and scholars whose teachings were considered heresy elsewhere.
