Melanie Simpson may be fifteen years old, but destiny doesn't recognize age. And for that reason, she continues her quest to locate the Orb, a device given to her father by a dying alien. She sees a film of him with the Orb at the Carnac Stones in France, and learns of a vision he had there. But what was it about? And did it have something to do with her?

While she works to get there, more is revealed about her parents, Roger and Gloria Their involvement in the UFO crash outside of Roswell, New Mexico in 1947. The harassment they underwent from the government because of Roger's discovery. And how by receiving the Orb, Roger must now protect it, no matter the cost.

Melanie travels to England with her grandmother on the premise of seeing her ancestral home, hoping to get to the Stones in France. But once there, she learns of another ancestry which draws her to a buried dolmen. There she finds a link to her Sky People and a connection to the three stars of Orion's Belt.
