The Stroll is actually a place and not just a fifties dance step. It's on Third Street from the intersection of Newcomb Avenue down three blocks to Evergreen Avenue.
It was explained that was where black men take their new gash to show her off. They say you get your white bitch dolled up in some slut rags and walk her the three blocks and maybe back again. It was considered good form to display her titties and let everyone in those three blocks have a free feel or if they had the money, more than just a feel.
The Stroll was not a formal or planned affair. Some nights there may be five or six white women on The Stroll and other nights there might be none. There were always men hanging around on Third Street after dark just in case.
When Beth Robbins heard about The Stroll, she demanded to be taken. She would not be dissuaded even after it was described to her as dangerous. She had been exposed to dark meat and she wanted more. This is her story.
