"The Tarzan Collection - Volume II" is a collection of three books from the enormously popular twenty-four volume Tarzan series of novels by adventure fiction writer Edgar Rice Burroughs. It contains books four through six of the series: "The Son of Tarzan," "Tarzan and the Jewels of Opar" and "Jungle Tales of Tarzan."
In the first of these tales, we are introduced to Tarzan and Jane's 12-year-old son Jack, who has been raised in England and has no knowledge of his father's fascinating and adventurous past. But when young Jack learns the truth, he is lured to Africa by one of Tarzan's most dangerous enemies and faces almost certain death.
In book five, "Tarzan and the Jewels of Opar," we encounter Tarzan and Jane, now living on a ranch Tarzan has built near his old stomping grounds in Africa. When the Greystoke fortune is embezzled, Tarzan travels to the lost city of Opar to help himself to the vast store of hidden gold...but is injured in an earthquake, losing all memories of his wife, son and past life.
Finally, we are treated to "Jungle Tales of Africa," a flashback to Tarzan's teenage years, growing up in the jungle and honing his skills as a fierce and fearless hunter/warrior, befriending the beasts who wish to be his allies...and defeating those who wish him harm..
Tarzan is among the most popular fictional characters in all of literature and his tales have been adapted into dozens of animated and live-action films as well as television and radio series and comic books.
The books contained in "The Tarzan Collection - Volume II" are presented in their original and unabridged format.
