Jack London (Jan 12, 1876 Nov 22, 1916) American writer and journalist. Born and grown up in California, he tried his luck in Alaska in the time of the Gold Rush, but unsuccessfully. During his writer's career he's written such novels as Martin Eden, The White Fang, The Sea-Wolf etc. and a lot of magnificent short stories.
