The Water Dragons

Although there are numerous novels based around the Norse Legend of Beowulf and Grendel, here we come across Grendel's mother, the Water Demon, the beautiful goddess like creature with a serpent's tail, who has the ability to charm every mortal man who crosses her path. She is as always a figure of mystery, lost to time.
Here the ancient song of Beowulf is brought back to life. A story of Dragons that plague humanity with their immortality, a story about men born half man, half beast, Nature's true guardian children.
The Water Demon has produced many sons from ancient nobility, and she has used them as a force of Nature to ravage the world with her bitterness and hatred. We are carried away by the philosophical undertones, the meaning of the word life cries out to us, do we dream of riches and fame? Or just plain love and self worth? Or do we secretly yearn to desire above our mortal coils? Have we become as beastial as the monsters that we fear?
Within the story, the tale of Melusine comes to light, and we hear of the origins of the Water Demon as her sons take a quest to find her. Throughout the story we are brought back into time as the brother's remember their past lives and loves. A truly haunting tale that defines the personal isolation of role and destiny.
