This incident or scandal wasresponsible for convulsing the entire Washington D.C. for theperiod of 2 years, which had led to the 1st resignation of thePresident of the United States and had changed the Americanpolitics forever. Finally, on 5th August, the President Nixon hadreleased the respective recordings and tapes, which hadprovided undeniable proofs of his involvement in the givenWatergate Scandal along with the crimes related to save hisre-election campaign. In the face of around variousimpeachment by the Congress in the United States, thePresident Nixon had resigned in quite a disgrace on 8thAugust, and had left the respective office the day whichfollowed after.The Watergate Scandal had shaken the entire American politicsand its famous leaders who were shook by the fact of theinvolvement of the concerned president in the given case.
