In this article we look at all facets of property development to infrastructural development, renovations and building of new structures, all in the effort to either increase capacity, efficiency or to simply attract new and more tourists to a particular destination.

INTRODUCTION

The building of new hotels is a top priority for most major hotel chains for the sole purpose of gaining more market control and a larger customer base across the world in an ever more competitive business environment. This just does not apply to hotel chains but all major stakeholders in the industry, a classic example would be that of the story of Starwood hotels and resorts, which was founded in 1950's as a real estate company and in its infancy slowly started to purchase properties of which were converted into hotels and forming the Starwood hotels that was to be purchased by Marriott International. Other examples within the industry may include the IMG group that builds custom themed amusement parks and resorts that are in partnership with a particular brand or famous Hollywood company. One such amusement park would be that of the world's fastest rollercoaster ''Ferrari-World'' in Abu Dhabi, UAE. It was only fitting that this amusement park be in partnership with a well-known automotive brand known for making supercars or in simpler terms, fast cars.
