In the dark days of WWII, a special unit was commissioned by Lieutenant James Dunmore, an intelligence officer on General George Patton's staff. Obsessed by his hatred for Blue Team and their partisan guides, Keppler grimly continues hunting them throughout the invasion of Salerno, through the bloody guerrilla fighting on the Volturno River and the great Liri Valley, to the final, deadliest event of the Italian campaign, the assault on Monte Cassino.
