Victoria has been leading the life of a hermit for the best part of a decade. Her sole visitors were magical creatures that knew what a gifted healer she is, a knowledge that isn't widely spread and she prefers it that way. She doesn't want government agents or rogue paranormals turning on her doorstep. Circumstances make her leave her sanctuary and she ends up in the Vancouver Pack, where she meets Clelia and Nala, two stubborn, bullheaded, dominant shapeshifters, who turn her life's balance upside down. Being sexy as hell, doesn't help either.

Nala has only just escaped from a six-month captivity period at an illicit base. She's been tortured, experimented on both her human and lion form and then forced to participate in underground wrestling matches against other paranormals. The last thing she needs in her life right now is a new romance, however, that Victoria witch-woman has woken up all her protective instincts andahemsome more primal ones. And then there's that frustrating wolf-woman whom she doesn't know how to deal with, besides beating the hell out of her. If only that wouldn't break a war between her Pride and Clelia's Pack.
