The detached "Odd" trilogy of "Eggs for Eyes", "Of Great Gore and the Sleeping Beasts", and "The Children of the Land of Odd" conjoin several stories of apocalypse by different (and often hilarious) ways in David Lawler's short-story collection, "Trinity". With "Mumbai Jive Pop", extermination comes at the hands (or wings), we should say) of over-populated birds. "Garbage World" is about piled-up trash.
