Socialite, Bethany Hubbard, hires ex-Chicago homicide cop, turned private eye, Cleve Hawkins, to shadow her husband, Thad, whom she suspects of being unfaithful. Hawkins finds that her high-level chemist husband has been abducted outside of his office in Chicago's Loop.
