Tripping is a collection of thoughts and insights from under the trip. It was written over an interesting year of Forrest Stevens life in which he was doing more than an hour of intense yoga a day, taking psychedelics frequently, consuming cannabis, and talking about therapy and internal self growth with everyone around him. The type of yoga he did combined with psychoactive compounds opened up new and weird ideas which he wrote down when they lingered long enough, most of this book was written in-between sessions of breath work or during a break during intense physical activity.
The idea of this book is that it is only a collection of thoughts. These are not beliefs or even true for the thinker. Thoughts are largely not under our direct control. We have to have experiences to trigger thoughts. The hope of this book is that it triggers thoughts for the readers and that they even expanded on them and write them into this book. This makes each copy uniquely their own if used as intended.
