For endless, hellish weeks, Ranai, Holy City of the One God of Man, has endured relentless bombardment from the Feyan Empire's devilish heavy artillery. Its defenders have thrown back maniacal assaults and gruesome sorceries. Rivalries, factions, and outright treason have nearly broken its leadership. But still it stands.

A FORLORN HOPE

The Knights of the Reckoning, having crossed the sea to defend the Holy City, have been reduced to a shadow of themselves. A single, junior knight now commands their remaining men-at-arms, and supplements the numbers with the piratical crew of the trapped Witch of Vendar. He knows they can't hold out much longer.
