Labor day
It's celebrated on the first Monday of September.
It's a day to remember.
It honors the nation's working people,
at least, those who work legal.
It's typically with parades,
but also with happy charades.
For most Americans, it means the end of summer vacation,
the end of all the relaxation.
And for many students, a new school year.
So, don't forget to bring your ear!
Because the next vacation isn't near.
So, please listen to your teacher, dear.
