One Saturday morning, the farm animals are all abuzz. A new animal is coming to stay at the farm! The horses have heard there will be a new little puppy.
The new puppy's name is Vanessa, and she is a German shepherd who is as black as night. She quickly becomes everyone's frienddogs, cats, and horses alike. She goes everywhere with Mama and Pap and watches over them with love. Then one day she goes to see the vet, who discovers that Vanessa has cancer.
