"With what shall I come before the Lord, and bow before God most high? Shall I come before him with burnt offerings, with calves a year old? Will the Lord be pleased with thousands of rams, with myriad streams of oil? Shall I give my firstborn for my crime, the fruit of my body for the sin of my soul? You have been told, O mortal, what is good, and what the Lord requires of you: Only to do justice and to love goodness, and to walk humbly with your God". Micah 6:6-8
This is a wonderful biblical passage that summers up the Christian life. We are called to be like our Heavenly Father, as he himself had asked the Old Testament (Leviticus 11:44-45) and as Jesus reminded us: "Be holy as your Father in Heaven id holy" (Mathew 5:48). The call to holiness is our first vocation then; and in our daily life, whoever we are, we are invited strive to walk towards holiness.
Mrs. Philomena Chioma Ogwuike, in this wonderful book, explains how we can live our Christian life daily, simply and humbly in an ordinary way. Her teachings remind us that we are called by God in this to bear fruit. We can do this only by attaching ourselves through to God. Our relationship with him will be meaningful to us if his Word has an important place in our lives.
She directed us, step by step, on how to have a good interior life which is the foundation to our life of faith. These steps can help us to know how to avoid all the snares of the evil who at all course desire to see us fail in this way of holiness.
I really congratulate Mrs. Philomena Chioma Ogwuike for her wonderful thoughts and meditation which can be of a great help to everyone.
