In the great western Confederated Republics of California, the American Aryan Renaissance Party (AARP), led by the charismatic Adam Schickler, has seized power in the Republics of Idaho and Fremont. Meanwhile, in the free Republic of Astoria, Harrison Davis, successful local engineer and part time judge, is caught up in the legal system that he is sworn to uphold while his brother, Clark, small town pol in Pendleton, runs afoul of the Aryans as a local legislator and hard working family man.
