This essay sheds light on what is a toy, demystifies the different types of toys that people can buy, reveals the reasons why people buy toys, and delineates the benefits of buying toys. Succinctly stated, a toy is an object that has been tailored for the purpose of being played with. A toy is often a tangible object which is meant to be profusely played with during toy play sessions. Toys are not meant to be remain unopened since they were designed for the purpose of being utilized. An exorbitant amount of toy collectors are however inclined to leave their toys relegated to boxes and never use them in anyway which is ironical since toys are produced by toy companies who have the underlying assumption that they will be utilized by customers post being purchased. When toys remain unopened, then toy collectors do not get to experience any of the toys' features firsthand. Even though toys are utilized primarily for the purpose of providing entertainment to customers during toy play sessions, the entertainment value that will be reaped by customers in the imminent future post them purchasing unopened toys from retail stores is practically non-existent in contexts in which the toys remain unopened due to them being purchased by toy collectors of unopened toys. Toys become slated to remain unopened in contexts in which they are purchased by toy collectors of unopened toys who are eminently reticent about unboxing their toys since they do not want to risk marring them. Most toys cannot provide entertainment value to customers if they are relegated to their manufacturer's packaging and are not utilized in anyway. The utility that a toy provides the customer is not maximized when it is never opened and when it is relegated to its manufacturer's packaging. Toy collectors of unopened toys would prefer for their toys to remain unopened and in mint condition rather than open them and risk having them potentially get ravaged. It is much more cumbersome to maintain a collection of toys in mint condition once they are opened than it is to do so when they are unopened. Toy collectors of unopened toys are fond of unopened toys since they are often in mint condition or near mint condition. Toy collectors of unopened action figures for instance are fond of mint on card action figures since they are in mint condition and are far less susceptible to having their conditions degrade than their used action figure counterparts. Once toys are extracted from their manufacturer's packaging, then they are no longer safeguarded by their manufacturer's packaging and are therefore more vulnerable to having their conditions degrade. Even though toys are deemed to be playthings, a copious amount of toys that have been produced have remained unopened and ironically will aptly never windup being opened nor played with. When toys are played with, they can potentially induce a pleasurable dopamine-release sensation in the brain of the customer in contexts in which the customer revels in playing with their toys. The activity of playing with toys can also potentially help the customer to alleviate stress since playing with toys can divert the customer's attention away from dwelling on acute stressors. The activity of playing with toys can also serve as a potent divertissement that can potentially allow a person to experience unalloyed joy as he is playing with toys amid a fleeting toy play session. The activity of playing with toys can also help to facilitate the induction of a euphoric experience in contexts in which a person relishes playing with toys firsthand, has a prodigious imagination, and has tremendous creative prowess. The activity of playing with toys can be an enthralling experience for certain people to bask in experiencing, especially if it allows them to be able to partake in a novel, exhilarating, stimulating, and imaginative experience during their fleeting toy play session.
