In October 2012, Kaiulani was told she had less than 2 months to live and would likely never walk again..She had lost the use of both legs and one arm. She chose life. A year later, they found 9 brain tumors and gave her weeks. Again. She has been NEAD (No Evidence of Active Disease) since 2014 (a medical impossibility). But that could change at any time. Stage IV cancer is a terminal diagnosis. She is trying to redefine what that means.
