When Death Visits and Other Stories

WHEN DEATH VISITS AND OTHER STORIES is a collection of short stories which include these three titles:

"I love you, Macy" is a story of hardship with dealing with a sick child. John isn't as strong as Violet when dealing with their sick daughter Macy. He can't handle seeing Macy on her death bed. He decides to ask his wife Violet for a divorce after seeing his daughter sick in the hospital. Violet becomes bitter towards him after asking for such a request at a time like this. Months later with Macy still fighting for life, John pays an unexpected visit to see Macy before she leaves their lives for good. But Violet is not too happy about his visit and demands he leaves at once. John does everything in his power to convince Violet to let him stay but it doesn't work. Until their dying daughter, Macy asks Violet to rethink her decision so they can be a family again before she dies.

"Will he notice me?" is the question Piper asked herself daily about her boss Kirk. Piper is your plain jane receptionist at Thomas and Thomas Law Firm. She sat at her desk every day watching the women come in and out of Kirk's office. Long flowing blond hair, perfect makeup, short dresses, and skirts, with long painted fingernails. Piper knew in order to get Kirk's attention she had to make herself over to look like his clients. Piper hatches a plan to make herself over and surprise Kirk after work while he's still in the office. On her lunch break, she rushes to local shops to pick out an outfit, shoes, and makeup. Not being used to wearing heels or anything sexy Piper was going to have to work hard to get noticed by Kirk.

"When death visits" is a true story about Ashley's loss of her child. She became a mother on March 12th, 2015. Gave birth to a beautiful baby girl named Amber. She loved her baby girl so much and tired her best to protect her. She never thought she would have to protect her daughter from herself. Ashley stayed up every day and every night watching over her baby girl Amber. Losing sleep was worth it until May 18th, 2015. Ashley lost her child due to a safe sleep accident. Ashley woke to her baby in her arms, not moving, not breathing. She watched as her mother gave Amber Cpr while her aunt called 911. Everything slowed down around her as she saw the Emt rush out the door with her child. She was able to make it to her sister's car to get to the hospital, but it was too late.
