Who Killed the Billionaires?

In Who Killed the Billionaires, Inspector Cameron Rande, the new head of the homicide unit of the Toronto Police Service tackles one of the city's most bizarre and high-profile murders, the killing of Elgin and Virginia Weatherbee. The billionaire couple are found posed in death in the backyard of their mansion in Toronto's Kingsway area.
Weary of measuring statistics and figuring budgets for his unit, Inspector Rande, assigns himself to run the team of detectives probing the killings. He finds his victims have a double life that is as strange as their deaths. They are among the most generous benefactors of city charities but also among the most aggressive and cruel launchers of lawsuits against friends, foes and business partners.
Not only is the suspect list seemingly endless, his own team has sprung a media leak. Under pressure from the media, the public, the victims' family and his own chief, Inspector Rande drives ahead only to be side-tracked by a suicide, an attempted murder and a hostage-taking.
His team follows leads all the way to India only to circle back home. Can Rande, his protege DS Macey Wallace and his team solve the murders of one of the wealthiest couples in town or will wealth and luxury muddy the waters beyond all boundaries?
