When two peopleone who deems himself unworthy of love and the other who thinks he is incapable of returning itend up falling for each other, it nearly destroys them. But to shatter is to transform, and love is worth every sacrifice.
Winds of Transformation is a fantasy queer romance novel set from 1900-1925 on a reimagined Earth which contains magic realms hidden from human eyes, though not unaffected by human influence and pollution.
Rassin, a shadow immortal who has been to hell and back for claiming his own soul, falls in love with Mareus Anuwius, an air elemental on the verge of transforming into an immortal, whose soul belongs to Fate.
While human and magic forces threaten the world with climate catastrophe and chaos, both Rassin and the House of Anuwius strive to do the right thing, no matter what the cost. Mareus' sister Inira even reaches for a radical solution to the global threat by plotting to use a powerful magical artifact that would destroy many lives. Their youngest brother Rius tries to prevent the disaster, not knowing that his involvement might prove just as dangerous. Meanwhile, Rassin's and Mareus' personal destinies are pulling them apart and bringing them together in unexpected ways.
Magic folk must pay a price for every action, good or bad, so when Rassin and Mareus dare to reach for eternal love, gods and fate demand they sacrifice everything. This is an epic romance which transcends time, distance, different dimensions, even death. It is also an exploration of complex themes of loyalty and friendship, as well as the push-pull between fate and free will.
With HEAs for all major characters, the novel contains positive depictions of gay sexual and platonic relationships, delving into the nuances of what love truly is and how it can transform us.
