Rassin, a shadow immortal who has been to hell and back for claiming his own soul, falls in love with Mareus Anuwius, an air elemental on the verge of transforming into an immortal, whose soul belongs to Fate.
While human and magic forces threaten the world with climate catastrophe and chaos, both Rassin and the House of Anuwius strive to do the right thing, no matter what the cost. Mareus' sister Inira even reaches for a radical solution to the global threat by plotting to use a powerful magical artifact that would destroy many lives. Their youngest brother Rius tries to prevent the disaster, not knowing that his involvement might prove just as dangerous. Meanwhile, Rassin's and Mareus' personal destinies are pulling them apart and bringing them together in unexpected ways.
