While growing up in the Highland Park area of Los Angeles, Quattuorwho is shy, different, and struggles with obsessive compulsive disorderis constantly harrassed by bullies. When an eighteen-year-old Quattuor eventually graduates from high school and moves to the outskirts of Los Angeles, he must rely on different personalities to propel himself into adulthood. Will Quattuor be able to overcome his painstaking obstacles and find the answers in order to make his dreams come true? Wings in a Jar shares the coming-of-age tale of a California boy's struggles as he sets out on a challenging journey to find the path to ultimate happiness.
