The more things change the more they stay the same and progress brings with it its own set of problems that we must learn to deal with. We are living in an age of communication a time where ignorance of the world we live in has become a personal choice. In the age of information and technology we can no longer hide behind our ignorance and fear and say 'I didn't know'. Science and religion were once considered the great teachers of mankind, both in their own way trying to explain the wonders and power of the great unknown. In the battle to claim power over our hearts and minds both declared that theirs was the one true way. In the process the quest for spiritual enlightenment was sacrificed for the sake of power and control. Spirituality can't be confined or defined by religious or scientific dogma. Nor can it be diminished by mankind's limited knowledge and understanding of the universe that created us. The ancients understood the relationship with the world they lived in and the earth that sustained them. To them nature was the great teacher, it taught lessons of balance and harmony which was reflected in the way they lived their lives and the relationship they had with one another. Technology is a tool to be used to improve the quality of life. Science has the ability to explain how and why it works, but it's our spiritual awareness that determines how it will be used for the benefit of mankind. The wisdom of the ancients is neither ancient nor archaic, it's timeless, formless and a proven technology for life if only we have the hearts and minds to see it and accept it for what it is.
