The book explores circumstances before the introduction of majority of agriculture practices chronological beginnings so far known in the America's. Compares more so other factors in mythology, cultural comparisons and differences, in relation to the New and Old World myths, beliefs or practices. The book is more speculation then examples of absolute hard proofs. Clarke shows how certain practices only in part parallel the period just before agriculture type introductions and at the same time points out why some culture factors are still of Late Paleolithic or Late Epi Gravettian systems both in myth and beliefs.
