Word Salad: A Collection of Stories

Word Salad: A Collection of Stories is a collection of four flash fiction stories that range from an urban fantasy story to a disaster thriller, a crime drama, and a war veteran drama.

In the supernatural crime drama, "The Devil on His Shoulder", we follow the two criminals John and Alex as they flee from a botched crime. As the make their escape, John hears an ominous voice tempt him into murder his partner.

"Old Friend" is a veteran drama about a veteran Old Man Mac as he chats to his war buddy Jim. As Mac and his friend talk, Mac confronts his guilt over the comrades he lost from the war, as Jim nurses his friend's conscience.

"Fuel the Fire" is a fictional disaster thriller following Kyle as he crashes his car in the wilderness as a snowstorm descends upon him. Now he struggles to nurse and maintain a small blaze in the middle of a blizzard, desperately trying to not fall into despair.

"Mundanities of the Beast" is an urban fantasy that follows the demon Gro'gloth, as he is punished for a failed world domination attempt. Now banished to the modern world, he grapples with the differences between the underworld and the mortal world, seeking to use the laundromat without incident.
