I Worry A Little, I Worry A Lot

I Worry a Little, I Worry a Lot is about understanding the feeling that a bad thing is going to happen when life's activities are out of your control and can send your heart racing, limbs shaking and belly aching. Mum leaving the house without you, the teacher calling your name when you really don't want to talk in class, sleeping in the darkness of night, leaving your safe place of home. Things which your friends laugh about, but leave you feeling alone and scared. You are not sure what these feelings are or why they are happening and you question whether you can survive.

With some support and investigative thinking, you reflect and notice that you did survive. Yesterday's bad things didn't happen. Instead, you start to focus on what actually happened. Mum came home, the teacher supported your reading, you snuggled up in bed and slept all night in your own sanctuary.

You start to look forward rather than behind. You understand what your feelings are and most days feel in control. Each day brings a different story and you are prepared to face it.
