Once apon a time we had a job, possibly staff to order around and an income. We called ourselves by our job title, we told people where we worked. Then one day it was gone. There were no adults to ask for help. We were the adults- frighteningly scary! none of us signed up for this!
That was yesterday. That was the day we came out of the pupa of work to become a butterfly.
Retirement: that time, when you went to die.
Yesterdays' people was written by me, an award winning financial planner and a senior lecturer because I realised how scary retirement was for me, for those I know I knew the route, I had a map to retirement, but it was not enough.
Writing Yesterdays' people made it enough as I worked through the housing, the health, the investing, the deaths and wills. I mapped the guideline in this book and, I hope you will find it helpful too. I looked internationally, but also gave the information for South Africa, because thats where I choose to live, with the beauty of the bush and a wonderful variety of people, who speak English, because heaven knows I have not time to learn another language while enjoying myself.
