Le jus cogens en Amérique latine

Même si l'étude sur le jus cogens a énormément évolué au cours des dernières décennies, son contenu matériel varie considérablement selon la jurisprudence de chaque tribunal international. Although the study concerning the jus cogens has evolved greatly in recent decades, its substantive content varies considerably according to the jurisprudence of each International Court. The Inter-American Court of Human Rights (IACHR) has some of the most advanced jurisprudence in the field of jus cogens since it has rendered cutting edge decisions that added several norms to the framework of peremptory norms of general international law. In this context, this book explores the considerations of the IACHR about jus cogens in its decisions (this includes the separate opinions of judges) and advisory opinions, analyzing what the content of jus cogens is according to the IACHR.
